Dnes porovnáváme dvě oblíbené letní pneumatiky: Firestone Roadhawk a Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance. Obě pneumatiky se osvědčily v řadě testů, pojďme se tedy ponořit do výsledků a zjistit jejich silné a slabé stránky.
Pneumatika Firestone Roadhawk získala na našem webu celkové hodnocení 71 %. Dobře si vedla v testech Autoklubu ČR a ADAC, kde si zajistila 11., resp. 4. pozici z celkového počtu 16-19 pneumatik. Pneumatika vynikala svým jízdním chováním na suchu, bezpečností a brzděním na mokru. V testu Autobildu se umístila na 3. místě z 51 porovnávaných pneumatik. Pneumatika Firestone Roadhawk však nebyla nahrazena žádným novějším modelem.
Naopak výjimečně dobře si vedla pneumatika Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance s hvězdným celkovým hodnocením 88 %. V testu Autoklubu ČR, kde byla oceněna zejména její ovladatelnost na suchu, se umístila na 8. místě a v testu ADAC na 12. místě s nejlepšími vlastnostmi aquaplaning (příčný) a aquaplaning (podélný). Dále se umístil na 11. místě v testu Autobildu."""
Je důležité zmínit, že společnost Goodyear již představila nástupce pneumatiky Efficient Grip Performance - pneumatiku Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance 2, která by měla nabídnout ještě lepší vlastnosti.
Souhrnně lze říci, že obě pneumatiky si v různých testech vedly chvályhodně. Zatímco pneumatika Firestone Roadhawk vyniká v jízdních vlastnostech na suchu, bezpečnosti a brzdění na mokru, pneumatika Goodyear Efficient Grip Performance dosáhla lepších výsledků v celkových testovacích pozicích a vyniká zejména svými jízdními vlastnostmi na suchu a aquaplaningem. Společnost Goodyear navíc již představila novější verzi této pneumatiky s pravděpodobně lepšími výkony.
